Support Adult Literacy through LV-Bangor

Change an adult's life with the gift of literacy.

LV-Bangor is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization that receives no state or federal support. Every dollar you donate to adult literacy returns $33 to the overall economy. Your tax-deductible contribution can help in the following ways:

• $25 - Pays for the training materials for a new tutor
• $50 - Helps recruit an adult student
• $100 - Creates the match between a tutor & student
• $300 - Provides 1:1 tutor support to an adult with literacy challenges for 1 year
• $900 - Matches 3 adult learners with their own tutor

Ways to pledge your support or give:

1. Debit or Credit Card

   To provide a secure method for debit/credit card donations online, we use PayPal. You do not have to be a PayPal account holder; just continue under the "Use your credit card" section.

   
   Upon successful submission a receipt will be emailed to you and the transaction on your billing statement will indicate a charge for "PAYPAL*LITERACYVOL."

2. Pledge

   Have you considered pledging monthly? Some of our supporters prefer to pay a small amount each month rather than making a large donation at once. If this is an option for you, please contact us by phone (947-8451) or email for more information or to set this up.

3. Check

Please make checks payable to Literacy Volunteers of Bangor, and send to 200 Hogan Road, Bangor, ME 04401. (Please let us know if your donation is made in memory or honor of someone.)
