How You Can Get Help

Do you have trouble reading? Would you like to improve your reading, spelling, and/or writing? Do you have a hard time speaking English or understanding others who are?

If you answered "Yes" to any of these, Literacy Volunteers of Bangor can help you. We offer FREE tutoring for adults who want to improve their reading or English speaking skills. Services are private and no one needs to know that you are getting our help.

After filling out an application and meeting us, we work to match you with a volunteer tutor who can help you. With a tutor, you agree on the best day, time, and place to meet. Most tutors and students meet once a week for 1 or 2 hours. Some meet more often.
